in 2017 a long time leader Robert Mugabe was overthrown out of power  and replaced by Emmerson Mnangagwa, the former vice president who promised reform.  When everyone thought days will get better or things will change in Zimbabwe is turning to a very dark and dangerous place for those who voice their opinion against the government Zanu- Pf.

Mnangagwa seems hell-bent on forming a one party state in Zimbabwe, in pursuit of this one party agenda, Mnangagwa has a two pronged approach which involves the incapacitation of the opposition and co option of willing activists, wich is similar to the Chinese communist party.

Mnangagwa most dangerous plan is the destruction of the opposition, any activist who seems to oppose the Mnangagwa is either beaten up or jailed or more likely both, in some cases actvists have been kidnapped and dealt with. Mnangagwa promised freedom of speech and which also guaranteed in the constitution, the current president may be as bad or even worse than his predecessor. what even worse some activists have  been forced into hiding.

Most activists only crime is exposing the corruption of the government and in the most attack of freedom of speech exposing the corruption of the government is that some activists are reportedly kidnapped for a couple of days and tortured, as the norm the government will deny any involvement.

when you criticise Mnanagwa and his government or you stand up to them is now very dangerous vocation which can land you into jail or you can be beaten up or simple being a activist you are a target to them. In the world we live in activists and the media are generally a watchdog over the government but not in Zimbabwe, where that can land you in serious trouble with the authorities.

Any party which going against Zanu-Pf is quickly taken away this is simply the governing Zanu-Pf is averse to opposition and literally wants to go at it alone without any competition. Exile is increasingly be coming the best option for those who those only crime is to stand against the government and fight for freedom of speech.
