A lot of Zimbabwean doctors, nurses, radiographers pretty much many health workers are leaving their jobs and migrating to different countries such as England, Australia etc because they are all saying that they could no longer afford life's basics due to poor wages, but since they have migrated to these countries they are well appreciated and their lives have turned out for the better. All health care workers are going through economic suffering which is caused by the government of Zimbabwe. A lot of Zimbabwean people are dying in hospitals because of the lack of basic equipment such as gloves, needles etc i mean the list is endless and also most hospitals do not have a lot of staff. In Zimbabwe a trained nurse earns around $165 per month which is not enough for anyone to survive yet in neighbouring countries such in South Africa nurses earn $1,887 and in Namibia they earn as much as $1,472 such tempting wages just in neighbouring countries have a had a lot of health workers in Zimbabwe leaving their jobs for better wages.
Such wages have only caused the Zimbabwean healthcare system to suffer. Emmerson Mnanagwa and his government will not budge about paying the healthcare workers better wages. Zimbabwean Vice President Consantino Chiwenga who is also the health minister ordered the nurses council to stop issuing verification letters, a key document required by nurses seeking employment outside Zimbabwe and he pushed for a bill last year to 2021 to stop healthcare workers from protesting. This is a man who wants his government to win the next election yet Zanu Pf his government can not do the right thing and look out for their fellow Zimbabwean people. Zimbabweans have been oppressed by the Zanu Pf regime for too long. It is evident that Zimbabwe needs change and the only way change will come is to have a new government which stands for the people.
