With his disregard to human rights, failure to deal with growing corruption and poverty in Zimbabwe worsening, here is a man calling himself the president of Zimbabwe yet he hired himself a jet to travel to COP26, the jet he hired costs an average of £304,000 and yet the United Nations has estimated that more than six million Zimbabweans require food aid, the hospitals are collapsing due to lack of medicines and corruption. Now Zimbabwe is in a situation were more than 15 million people rely on informal trade and food handouts from international donors, the country's once robust public health system has also deteriorated while water, transport and other public infrastructure are a shambles. Yet the government of Zimbabwe blame all these problems on sanctions.
one would think if he had all that money to hire a jet why can't he fix Zimbabwe's problems? Yet Emmerson Mnanagwa is criticised by the west for authoritarian rule, economic mismanagement and corruption much worse than his predecessor. Just another example in 2019 Emmerson Mnangagwa hired a jet to Moscow and Davos in Switzerland and the money he paid for those trips could been enough to pay monthly salary of 535 of the country's doctors. At that time shortly Mnanagwa's departure he effectively crippled the country of Zimbabwe by announcing a petrol increase of 150%. People went on a protest because of this but the armed forces used lethal force to crack down on opposition and there were reports at least 12 people died.
If Emmerson Mnangagwa was the president of the people and if he really cared about the people of Zimbabwe he would stop all the corruption, looting and stop pointing fingers to the west.
