State authorities in Zimbabwe have been taking money from motorists for decades  instead of fixing the roads. Some of the roads are so bad that the potholes are actually stopping motorists to drive on certain roads. Every time it rains motorists find it difficult to drive on the roads, so poor are some of the roads that motorists find it faster to drive off road and safer for the vehicles too.

These potholes are really bad in high density suburbs. Driving at night has become difficult because it is hard to spot the potholes, motorists are now frequently replacing their tyres and having the suspension of their vehicles fixed. People are getting fed up with the state of the roads, that some of the people have taken matters to the hands. I mean the government are not bothered to fix the roads so people have been collecting gravel and dumping in the roadsides to fill the potholes which is actually the job of the government ZANU- PF.

Unemployed youths are raising some money through filling potholes and asking tokens from road users. We even had the Harare Mayor Councillor Herbert Gomba blaming the poor state of the roads on the Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (Zinara) for not realising money to council for road repairs. What does that tell us? that Emmerson Mnangagwa is a corrupt man. Only a part of the roads are being fixed but the rest of the country is being left and that is making it worse.
