Zimbabwe's once proud health system is deteriorating at an alarming rate. Hospitals are facing shortages of doctors which are underpaid. only political stability with massive external support can reverse the situation. As we have seen as Zimbabweans vote in general elections which are always rigged by ZANU PF many people go to the polls by stepping over pools of raw sewage, others will be noticeably thin and coughing, showing signs of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. Health indicators are worsening drastically in Zimbabwe . Most hospitals are unable to undertake the most basic operations because of shortages of anaesthetics, tablets and other essential supplies.

Former president Mugabe used to be able to campaign on the excellent health care his government used to offer, but he used to pledge to distribute more antiretroviral drugs,which his successor Emmerson Mnangagwa has done the same by promising the people of Zimbabwe that the health system will improve yet majority of nurses and doctors in state run hospitals are working in terrible conditions and poor salaries. A high of patients are dying at home after failing to seek medical treatment due to shortage of health workers in public hospitals.

what sort of health system do we have? Our health minister Obadiah Moyo who was charged with corruption in connection with the awarding of a multimillion dollar contract for   Covid-19 medical supplies has been fired by the president and replaced by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, first of all this man has no experience in that field. This clearly shows our government is corrupt and Zanu pf needs to go. The people of Zimbabwe  need change and it needs to happen fast.
